Pipelined ADC. Pipelined ADC, also known as zone ADC, is an efficient and powerful analog-to-digital converter. It is able to provide high-speed, high-resolution analog-to-digital conversion, and has a satisfactory low power consumption and small chip size. A linear flow ADC consists of several cascades, each consisting of a sample-hold amplifier, a ground-resolution ADC and DAC, and a summing circuit, which also includes an interstage amplifier that provides gain.
