Concept and application of switching regulator

A switching regulator is an electronic component that uses pulse modulation to control the output voltage. The circuit can continuously and efficiently convert the input DC voltage into the required DC voltage, so as to meet the requirements of different electronic devices for power supply voltage. The output voltage is stabilized by switching the power input. It is widely used in electronic equipment. Switching regulators are more versatile and are particularly suitable for applications that require high efficiency and high performance, such as consumer, industrial, enterprise and automotive applications. For example, if an application requires a large buck solution, switching regulators are more suitable because linear regulators produce high power consumption that can damage other electrical components.
