How PC817 works

The working principle of PC817 is based on the electrical-optical conversion of light, that is, the optical signal at the input end is converted into an electrical signal at the output end. When enough voltage is applied to the input end, it can emit light, which is transmitted to the other end through optical fiber or other channels, and then the optical signal is converted into an electrical signal output at the output end.
