The MUC is also known as a microcontroller (Microcontroller) because it was first used in the field of industrial control. The performance of traditional 8-bit microcontrollers has also improved rapidly, with processing power increasing by hundreds of times compared to the 1980s. Today, high-end 32-bit microcontrollers are now running at main frequencies over 300MHz, with performance catching up with the dedicated processors of the mid-1990s. Contemporary microcontroller systems are no longer developed and used only in a bare-metal environment, and a large number of dedicated embedded operating systems are widely used on the full range of microcontrollers. High-end microcontrollers used as the core processors for handheld computers and mobile phones can even use dedicated Windows and Linux operating systems directly.
